Batman: The Killing Joke receives R-Rating [Movie]
DC Comics direct-to-video animated film Batman: The Killing Joke has received R-rating. About the movie’s rating, makers Warner Bros. Animation stated they remained faithful to dark tone of the story as it “is still revered by fans, particularly for its blunt, often shocking adult themes and situations”.
Based on the 1988 comics by Alan Moore and voiced by Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill for Batman and Joker respectively, the 86-second trailer shows Batman intent to have one final showdown with his arch-nemesis the Joker ending with the Joker’s diabolical laughter. The movie will premiere at the Comic-Con international in San Diego this summer. Further it followed by a DVD, Blu-Ray and Digital HD release at the end of the year.
