Earth Hour Challenge – Switching Off Lights For An Hour in 172 Countries

Things like these clear out the dark shades on human evolution on our planet. People across the world have come together for a cause of saving the planet and ourselves. Earth Hour, is the initiative began in Australia ten years back by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). It is basically initiated as a challenge to save energy in the earth.

What happens at Earth Hour initiative?

The initiative was to alert mankind about the man-made carbon dioxide emissions that affecting our lives and nature. By switching off the lights for 60 minutes in 7000 major cities across 172 countries. Every year it has been followed to save the energy and reduce the number of mankind destructions towards mother nature.


When did it happen this year?

It happened on March 25, 2017, in numerous cities around the globe. People have appeared on the public gathering places and conducted the event around 8:30 PM(local time). Few of the cities involved in this initiative are Kuala Lumpur, Greece, Delhi, Tokyo, Jakarta and much more.
