Life of India without Gary:
After winning the world cup, India played against West Indies where Duncan Fletcher is appointed as the new Indian coach. A depleted Indian team was sent to WI and India won the series 3-2 with hiccups as many of their batsmen failed to use the chances given. India’s test performance wasn’t attacking as they gave up the final test to a draw which actually should have been won. Later the real test to the players as well as their coach, Tour to England with their No:1 ranking at stake. India’s losing streak triggered with a 4-0 drubbing against a sub 30 avg pace attack. Then some consoling wins against the West Indies at home. And again 4-0 whitewash to Australia in Australia as the India’s batting failed miserably. India though won some series at home, are not up to the level in foreign soil.
Life of SA after Gary:
Gary started his tenure with South Africa as Mickey Arthur resigned from the coaching position and went on to join Australia. South Africa started their campaign with a spectacular 1-1 series draw against the Aussies. Well, don’t forget the two lowest totals being scored in the same day. The entire world shocked with the kinda bowling displayed by the Proteas. If its Kohli under Gary for India then its Philander for South Africa. A sensational bowler with excellent accuracy and varieties made him to replace their third pacer Parnell and Tsotsobe. Philander broke the headlines by taking 50 wickets in only seven matches which is the second-fastest ever in Test history. South Africa became the only team in the cricket history to reach the No:1 position in all formats of the game. With complete all-round skills, SA’s are at the top of the world now. Many may credit their players but its Gary who holds the credit of making two teams to reach this position (India and South Africa). Now the most wanted person in the world. Lets see how he deals with the CHOKER’s tag the team has..!!!
