Mary Kom enters quarter-finals of women’s boxing 51 kg

Mary Kom is the big hope to win the gold medal in this tournament, she has entered women’s quarter final of the boxing 51Kg category here Sunday and she sails through the quarter final in the boxing tournament of the Olympics 2012 with a comfortable victory 19-14 over Poland’s Karolina Michalczuk in the round of 16.
Mary Kom, a mother of two children is a five time world champion, who starts the game with an aggressive boxing outpunch the polish in her opening bout. She has to fight very hard to progress to the next stage. If Marry wins the next bout, she is having more chance to win bronze medal. Every Indian’s are playing for her to win the next bout.
“Every athlete works to play at the Olympic Games. This is my 12th year of fighting and I came out of retirement and changed my weight because I had to play at the Olympic Games. Luckily I qualified and today I won,” she said.
