In 2011, Japan’s ‘Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan’ was recognized by Guinness World Records as most historical Inn. Founded in 705 A.D, it is the oldest hotel and has been operated by 52 generations of the same family. Situated at the foot of the Southern Japanese Alps in Yamanashi Prefecture, the hotel’s hot waters have its origin from the hot springs.
Established by Fujiwara Mahito during the Keiun Era, the hotel has six baths (two indoor and four open-air) with four different sources of natural hot springs. Travel to Mt.Fuji, Zenko-Ji Temple and Jigokudani Monkey Park are just a couple of hours away.
