“SIMMONS HARD-HITTING DISPLAY” –  THE SEMI-FINALS WEST INDIES VS. INDIA: 193 to chase against a formidable Indian team and achieving with 7 wicket victory is very very special indeed. Riding a slice of luck, Simmons’s full blooded hitting took WI to the finals.


“KOHLI’S PHENOMENAL KNOCK” – INDIA VS. AUSTRALIA: Chasing Australia’s 161 to book the semi-final berth India were down at 95/4 needing 67 runs of the last 6 overs. Viral Kohli’s plays one of the best knocks of all-time to take India home with close to an over to spare.


“ROOT’S BRILLIANT STROKE PLAY” –  SOUTH AFRICA VS. ENGLAND: 230 to chase against bowling attack consisting of Steyn, Morris and Tahir in their ranks,  Root phenomenal knock and Jason Roy’s power hitting do the incredible taking England home in a high-scoring encounter.


“HARDIK PANDYA’S FINAL OVER ACT” – INDIA VS. BANGLADESH: Pandya to bowl the last over. Mushfiqur hits the fifth and fourth ball for back-back boundaries leaving 2 more runs needed of the last 3 balls. Hard to believe, India wins the match with 3 wickets the next three balls. One of edge of the seat match to have encountered.


“BEATING THE WORLD CUP WINNERS” – WEST INDIES VS. AFGHANISTAN: Believe it or not, the only team to beat the West Indies in the tournament. It was like one form of fearless cricket against another form of fearless cricket.  A moment to be cherished for Afghanistan.
