France opens its first Wine Theme Park – La Cite Du Vin

Wine lovers it’s time to pack to your bags and fly to Bordeaux as France opened its first wine theme park on June 1.Called ‘La Cite du Vin’, the 10-level theme park has guides who will lead the tourists across twenty of the themed areas inside the park. The tour will end with an amazing spread of world famous wines to taste.

The park features segments mirroring wine and is designed by XTU architects Anouk Legendre and Nicolas Desmazieres. The owners of the park are planning to include two art exhibitions annually on various wine cultures and periodic workshops. Aside from themed areas, the park houses a reading area, wine themed boutique and a restaurant. La Cite Du Vin currently charges an entry fee of $22 per person.
