Hyundai launches New Gen Elantra for 12.99 Lakh – First Look | Price | Mileage | Design | Specification

Elite Car-makers Hyundai Motors has recently launched the 2016 Model of their prevalent Sedan ‘Elantra’ in India. The 2016 ‘Elantra’ is touted to be stiff competitor to its sedan contemporaries; Volkswagen Jetta, Skoda Octavia and Toyota Corolla Altis.
Available in petrol and diesel versions, base price starts from 12.99 lakh and 14.79 lakh respectively (ex-showroom Delhi).

Both versions (petrol and diesel) come in three variants – S, SX, SX (O) and offers two transmissions – Manual and Automatic.

Features:
New Gen Elantra is 4,570mm in length, 1,465mm in height and 1,800mm in width with a wheelbase of 2,700mm making it wider by 25mm and longer by 40mm than its previous model.
Elantra’s interiors will have an upgraded center console, 8-inch touch screen infotainment with Satellite navigation and 3-spoke steering wheel. The Sedan’s design is influenced by Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 pattern.
SX and SX(O) variant offers projector headlamps, parking sensor with reverse camera, shark fin antenna, dual-zone automatic climate control, airbags (front and side), ignition button, sunroof and ‘boomerang’ LED daytime running lights.
Elantra is available in 5 colors – Marina Blue, Polar White, Sleek Silver, Phantom Black and Red Passion.
Specification & Mileage:
The petrol version comes with new 2.0-Litre MPI four-cylinder engine generating 152 Ps power and 19.5 kgm torque while its diesel counterpart is fitted with 1.6 CRDi engine delivering 128 Ps power and 26.5 kgm torque. Both versions coupled with its variants offers 6-gear drive.
Mileage of 14.6 kmpl and 22.5 kmpl are offered by the petrol and diesel versions respectively.
