There is a popular saying that “Change is the only thing which will never change”.  Microsoft, pioneer in computing industry, is not an exceptional for this. After almost quarter-a-century, Microsoft has now changed its logo.

The new logo for Microsoft is designed with the heritage value.  It consists of two components

  1. Symbol
  2. Logo type

The Symbol is four perfectly shaped squares in four versatile colors. These colors signify Microsoft’s diverse portfolio of products.

The Logo type comes in Segoe font which is predominantly used in all its products and media communications.

After 25 years, from 23rd of August 2012, Microsoft, the world’s 10th largely used web took a new look with the new logo.  In few months, we can see in the stores around the globe.

Whether it is the most most-awaited Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, next version of MS-Office or any other product that will be launched by Microsoft from hereon will carry the new logo. Many believe that this change in logo is a starting step for a big positive transformation wave.
