Opening Ceremony – Olympic 2012
The much awaited Olympic 2012 was commenced with a spectacular opening ceremony at Olympics stadium here at London on Friday night. The happiest moment to London people to watch Olympics 2012 at the home, of course people across the world too. The opening ceremony started with showcasing the best of the host country. Opening Ceremony took four hours includes a parade of all competing nations and the highly anticipated entrance of the Olympic Fame, there were seven young athletes who lit the Olympic cauldron and that is a green signal for the game to start. The chairman of the London Organising Committee, Sebastian Coe, and the president of the IOC, Jacques Rogge, delivered their speeches and followed by the chairman and president speeches’ the Britain’s 86-year-old monarch Queen Elizabeth II officially opened the Games. They name the Olympic opening ceremony as ‘Isles of Wonder’.
The Ceremony started with the sound of the largest harmonically tuned bell in Europe, produced by the Whitechapel Foundry. The Stadium then transformed into a British countryside for opening scene ‘Green and Pleasant’, which includes real farmyard animals. Danny Boyle is the Artistic Director of the London 2012 Olympic opening ceremony, said: ‘Our Isles of Wonder salutes and celebrates the exuberant creativity of the British genius in an opening ceremony that we hope will be as unpredictable and inventive as the British people.’ We can say that he gives London Olympics 2012 a wildly imaginative opening ceremony.
The Olympic started with receiving the head of the state, Parade of Athletes, Speeches, Olympic Anthem flags, Oaths, the Torch and Cauldron, Creative Team, Performers. On the whole a splendid time watching the Olympic Opening ceremony and countdown ends. Games kicked off with Archery event men’s individual, men’s team, women’s individual, women’s team which held at Lord’s cricket ground in St John’s Wood, London.
