Fortune magazine’s recently published list of 2016’s “Most Powerful Women – International’ features 3 Indian Women, all hailing from the banking sector. Ranking the Top 50 Powerful Women outside United States, the 2016 list covers influential women from 19 countries that include 18% new names.
Headed by Ana Botin, Group Executive Chairman of the Spanish Banking Group – Banco Santander, the list features Indians; Arundhati Bhattacharya, Chairperson – State bank of India occupying the #2 position, Chanda Kochhar, CEO and Managing Director – ICICI Bank occupying the #5 position and Shikha Sharma – CEO and Managing Director – Axis Bank occupying #19 position.
