Saina Nehwal India’s first badminton player who entered semi-finals in Olympics, Saina Nehwal’s winning a gold medal dream in the London Olympics 2012 comes to an end when she was defeated by World No 1 shuttler Yihan Wang of China in the semi-finals of women’s badminton singles match at London Olympics 2012. The final score was 21-13, 21-13. With this victory Yihan has won all her 6 matches against Saina. Now it’s time to Yihan to win the gold medal.

The match went for 42 minutes and the longest rally was 34 strokes. Finally the India’s hopes of winning a gold medal in the badminton tournament were collapsed!

However she has an opportunity to win a bronze, if she retains at third place! Tomorrow she will play for the bronze medal, against the looser of the second semi-finals between Xin Wang and Xuerui Li of China. Anyways China is going to win the gold medal in women’s badminton singles at London Olympics 2012.
